A Tool of the Five Major Forms of Non-Formal Learning

Malcolm WebberMalcolm Webber

Whatever we do in formal and non-formal training should intentionally nurture the daily ongoing experience of informal learning.

This is a big advantage of non-formal training: it more naturally weaves through daily life, both in its structure (brief) and content (practical). We can see Jesus doing this in the Gospels!

This overview of five major forms of non-formal learning covers the nature and examples of each form. A movement of healthy leader development will use all five! For more on non-formal leader development, we recommend our video course, “Effective Non-Formal Christian Leader Development.”
